In 2020, TRU acquired Landmark Memory Care in Lafayette, a provider of care for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Landmark was designed for the comfort, socialization, encouragement and safety of your loved one – from the layout of our community which includes a central park with walking paths for exercise and seating areas for socialization and soaking up the sun, to the raised flowerbeds that enable our senior adults to continue to participate in a favorite pastime – gardening, to the specially designed shower in each room to promote safety while bathing, to the carefully placed call bells and wander guard systems – you and your family have been our utmost concern.
ALL of our residents receive the following Exceptional Care:
- Private Room and Bathroom, all wheelchair accessible, decorated with your loved one’s cherished belongings.
- Staff educated in ALZ and Dementia care are on site 24/7 and are paired with your loved one. This continuity of care provides an opportunity for relationships to develop and enhances the ability to recognize any changes that may occur. Our Care Partners continue to encourage independence, offer a helping hand as needed and provide assistance, with compassion and respect, while maintaining your loved one’s dignity.
- A “Music and Memory” home featuring innovative use of music.
- Two registered Nurses on staff and on call 24/7. Individualized Care Plans are customized to the needs of your loved one and evolve as their needs change.
- Emergency Call Systems, mobile e-call pendant and perimeter door systems provide security.
- Medication Administration by certified staff.
- In-house Physician available.
- Home style dining which incorporates individual preferences and needs. Nutritious snacks and refreshments served throughout the day.
- Housekeeping and Laundry Services
- Personalized Memory Frame outside each resident’s room to provide identification and opportunities for conversation.
